A custom perfume begins by understanding the person who will wear it. During this private Atlanta perfume experience, we explore the scents that attract you, the materials that feel natural on your skin, the memories you carry, and the effect you want your fragrance to create.
I use those discoveries to begin composing a fragrance architecture specifically for you. Every material has a role. Some create movement, some establish identity, some provide structure, and a select few give the perfume its transformation.

Darryl R. Hunter is an Atlanta-based artisan perfumer with over fifteen years of direct work with fragrance materials, vintage perfume structures, natural extracts, woods, florals, resins, musks, and the relationship between scent and skin.
Every private session and every final composition remains connected to his hand. You work directly with the person who studies the materials, constructs the accords, refines the perfume, and signs the finished work.

Create your scent map
We smell materials and build accords together. Your responses guide the fragrance family, structure, movement, and character.
Refine your perfume
You leave with the first draft. I continue refining the composition, then bottle and deliver the finished perfume within 30 days.

Each Cartography session is 90 minutes and is conducted privately by appointment.
